Dmitry Dyakin Heads the RAA’s Investment Arbitration Task Force

The Russian Arbitration Association has launched an investment arbitration task force. Dmitry Dyakin, Partner and Co-Head of the Litigation Practice at EPAM as well as a prominent investment arbitration expert, came forward with the initiative to launch the task force he now leads.

EPAM Represents Telco Morsvyazsputnik

Attorneys of the Litigation Practice at EPAM have successfully represented the state-owned enterprise Morsvyazsputnik, the only Russian supplier of INMARSAT satellite communications services, in a contractual dispute with Glonass North-West. The associates are now to represent Morsvyazsputnik against the company in compulsory liquidation proceedings.

EPAM advised on the restructuring of Solntse Mexico and Mission Foods Stupino, Russian divisions of Gruma Group, the largest cornflour, chips and tortillas manufacturer in the world. The London Commercial Court found in favour of UC RUSAL, the world's largest aluminum producer, declaring the purported sale of the 3.99% stake in February 2018 by Crispian to Whiteleave in MMC Norilsk Nickel "invalid and ineffective".

EPAM Helps Bank Saint Petersburg Secure Victory at High Court in London in Precedent-Setting Dispute With Vitaly Arkhangelsky

A team from the Litigation Practice at EPAM helped Bank Saint Petersburg to secure victory at the High Court in London in its dispute with borrower Vitaly Arkhangelsky and Oslo Marine Group Ports (OMG Ports).Proceedings in this case began back in 2009 and have spanned four jurisdictions: Russia, Bulgaria, France, and England. Over 20 cases were heard in the Russian courts, whose rulings were recognised and enforced overseas.
