Partners of EPAM to speak at 9th annual Russian Legal Forum

On 3–4 April, the 9th annual Russian Legal Forum, organized by Vedomosti, will be held in Moscow. Partners of EPAM will speak at the Forum.

The Forum is recognized in the legal community as an opportunity for business leaders, corporate lawyers, independent consultants, and members of the legal and judicial professions to meet and discuss problematic legislation, with the aim of developing the non-financial sector of the Russian economy.

On the agenda is a discussion of which legal systems support and which hinder the creation of a favourable business environment, and what actions the authorities must take to establish the right conditions for business to flourish.

Proposed changes to parts of the Civil Code relating to corporate law will be put under scrutiny. The Forum will also host discussions on issues relating to the legal underpinning of the financial sector, including antimonopoly and fiscal legislation. The issues of judicial reform and the effectiveness of court rulings will take centre stage.

Ilya Nikiforov, Managing Partner at the St. Petersburg Office of EPAM, will speak at a session on creating an effective business model at a legal firm.

Valery Eremenko, Litigation Partner at EPAM, will speak at a second day plenary session on how to improve administration of law in Russian courts.

Evgeny Raschevsky, Head of International Arbitration and Litigation Practice at EPAM, will moderate the session on peculiarities of British legal system on April 5, 2013 in London. Georgy Sur, Senior Associate at EPAM, to speak on English Arbitration Proceedings Applicable in Russia.
