EPAM Law to Host Panel Discussion “Using State Court Tools for Successful Arbitration” During Dubai Arbitration Week 2024

On Wednesday, 13 November, EPAM Law will host a discussion “Using State Court Tools for Successful Arbitration”, which will take place during Dubai Arbitration Week (11 – 15 November 2024).

Enforcement of arbitral awards remains a key point of concern in many jurisdictions, with tactics to avoid enforcement in various forms becoming more and more creative. For long perceived as competitors to arbitration, state courts are now a key forum for assistance and ensuring the award does not become a paper tiger. What domestic court tools do the parties utilize in support of arbitration?

The panelists will discuss practical strategies and their experience of recourse to state courts, including interim measures, as well as share insights into how these tools may be used to arbitrate and enforce more effectively, comparing the perspectives of different regions.
