Yuri Savvin – a new partner at EPAM Law

Yuri Savvin re-joined EPAM as Partner in Moscow Office. Yuri will take charge of the Firm’s Privatization, Public Procurement and Management of State Property Practice and will also oversee the development of the Energy, Real Estate and Construction Practices.

For the last three years Yuri has been the Director of the Legal Department of the Russian Property Agency. Previously he served for about four years as the Director of the Legal Department of the Specialized State Administration “Russian Fund of Federal Property” of the Government of the Russian Federation. He has extensive experience in providing legal support to trading, including privatization, execution proceedings, public procurement etc.

Prior to his public service Yuri had been Senior Associate at EPAM in St. Petersburg. Before joining the Firm he was Senior Associate at a division of a French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel in St. Petersburg.

Yuri completed a full-time course at the Law Department of Saint Petersburg State University, took a course at Columbia University (Law School and School of International and Public Affairs) and at University of Birmingham (The European Law Institute).

Yuri was one of the founders of the Russian Committee of Attorneys for Human Rights.

He has received acknowledgment from the Russian Government for his active and effective work in the area of privatization of federal property, and two acknowledgments from the Russian Property Agency for high professionalism and conscientious public service.

Yuri Savvin has co-authored a chapter about Russian commercial laws for the Digest of Commercial Laws of the World (Oceana).
