Irina Kosovskaya and Kristina Timofeeva Contributed a Chapter to the AEB Position Paper 2026

At the end of January, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) published the Position Paper 2026, its annual guide for foreign companies on key developments in Russian legislation. The publication covers taxation, artificial intelligence regulation, trade, customs, migration, the protection of property rights, and other issues.

The chapter entitled “Artificial Intelligence Regulation in Russia: Implications for European Companies” was authored by Irina Kosovskaya, Partner in EPAM Law’s Intellectual Property / TMT practice, and Kristina Timofeeva, Junior Associate.

The chapter examines the current state of artificial intelligence regulation in Russia and discusses the draft law aimed at strengthening criminal liability for offences committed using AI, which was introduced by the Ministry of Digital Development in summer 2025.
