On 16 February, the Russian Arbitration Center (RAC) announced the formation of its new Presidium. As part of the planned rotation, Evgeniy Rashchevskiy, Partner and Head of International Arbitration and Litigation at EPAM Law, was elected Chair of the Domestic Arbitration Subcommittee, one of the Presidium’s two subcommittees.
The formation of the new Presidium is intended to ensure the efficient and independent administration of arbitral proceedings, as well as to support the further development of arbitration in Russia.
The RAC Presidium makes decisions on key issues relating to the administration of arbitral proceedings, including the appointment of arbitrators, the consideration of challenge applications, the determination of procedural deadlines, the consolidation of arbitrations, and other matters provided for by the Arbitration Rules.
