Evgeny Raschevsky Joins the International Chamber of Commerce Task Force on Arbitration of Climate Change-Related Disputes

In late 2017, the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC) established the Task Force on Arbitration of Climate Change-Related Disputes within its Commission on Arbitration and Amicable Dispute Resolution. Evgeny Raschevsky, partner and head of international arbitration and litigation practice at EPAM, represents ICC Russia in the Task Force.

The Task Force was established to examine the applicability of the ICC Arbitration Procedure and other alternative dispute resolution methods in climate change, energy and environment-related disputes, incorporate the ICC Arbitration Clause in contracts and improve the ICC Mediation Rules.

The Task Force will produce a report containing conclusions, recommendations and ready-made solutions for arbitrators, potential dispute participants, legal professionals and arbitration tribunals considering such disputes.

The Task Force, which includes representatives from both the arbitration community and companies in the energy and construction sectors, will work closely with the ICC Commission on Environment and Energy.
