EPAM Announces Appointment of New Counsels at the Firm’s Moscow Office

EPAM announces the promotion of a number of senior associates at the Firm’s Moscow office. Effective January 1, 2019, Anton Alekseev, Alexey Rodionov and Olga Tsvetkova have been promoted to counsel.

Anton Alekseev (Real Estate & Construction) has significant expertise in representing clients in the fields of commercial real estate, construction and land law. Over his 10+ years of practice, Anton has led teams on real estate legal due diligence, structuring of and counselling on complex asset acquisitions, drafting of construction and investment contracts, and many contentious matters. Anton counselled on the construction of the Olympic Village in Sochi, an AM parts plant in St Petersburg, a pharmaceutical plant in the Yaroslavl Oblast, advised a foreign construction contractor for a hotel in Sochi, conducted legal due diligence on dozens of land plots to be purchased by by Lenta retail chain. His clients include an international oil and gas consortium, a Europeans producer of construction materials, a Russian industrial construction leader, and several wealthy private investors. Anton has been recommended by Chambers Europe and Best Lawyers. He is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association.

Alexey Rodinov (Competition) specializes in advising on antitrust disputes and has extensive experience in counselling Russian and foreign companies across all regions of Russia. Alexey was on the expert panels tasked with developing the Federal Law “On Competition Protection” and other draft antitrust laws. He has represented a major oil refinery throughout the course of their approval process with the FAS Russia (Federal Antimonopoly Service) regarding oil transshipment rates. He has also represented numerous construction contractors and industrial suppliers in the course of state procurement proceedings before authorities and in courts, as well as pharmaceutical companies in appealing an FAS decision, which claimed the companies were selling their drug at monopoly prices. Alexey has advised clients in relation to investigations by the Eurasian Economic Commission. He has been recommended by Best Lawyers as an antitrust law and litigation expert, admitted to the Antimonopoly Expert Association and is a member of the St. Petersburg Bar Association.

Olga Tsvetkova (International Arbitration) has been advising and representing clients in international arbitration and litigation for over 10 years. She specializes in commercial and investment arbitration, coordinating multijurisdictional litigation proceedings and in the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards, as well as recognition and enforcement cases. She has substantial experience in representing clients in arbitrations under the Rules of the ICC, LCIA, SCC, ICAC, Swiss Rules of International Arbitration, UNCITRAL among others, as well as coordinating proceedings in the UK, France, Italy, Norway, Hong Kong, Turkey and Kazakhstan. Her expertise covers international public disputes, including proceedings in the European Court for Human Rights and the International Court of Justice. Olga’s recent mandate is defending the Russian Federation in a tax dispute under the UNCITRAL Rules in a USD 1 bn claim filed by ExxonMobil. Olga co-chairs Russian Arbitration Association 40 (RAA40) and Young IMA. She has been recommended by Who’s Who Legal. She is a member of the Moscow Bar Association.
