The legal information portal Pravo.ru has published the results of its inaugural study of the legal services market relating to the establishment and administration of personal foundations. According to the findings, EPAM Law has been ranked in Group I among law firms operating in this sector.

The firm leads across several key indicators, including the number of registered personal foundations and the total value of assets held in registered personal foundations during 2023–2024.

“There is growing interest in establishing personal foundations among both high-net-worth individuals (HNWI) and ultra-high-net-worth individuals (UHNWI). The difference is that the latter group often establishes personal foundations as a ‘sandbox’ to assess how the mechanism operates, what risks it creates, and what issues it addresses. By contrast, the former group typically establishes personal foundations for a specific purpose and transfers personal assets or business interests into them,” comments Denis Arkhipov, Managing Partner of the firm’s Moscow office.
