Zalina Tettsoeva is an associate in the Intellectual Property / TMT Practice. She advises clients and provides a full range of legal services at every stage of acquisition and defence of intellectual property rights. She has extensive experience in legal representation, and advising clients on the protection of rights in the digital sphere.

Zalina’s recent highlights:

• Advising a major pharmacy chain on the protection of exclusive rights to intellectual property and means of individualisation;
• Advising one of the country’s largest mineral water producers on the protection of its exclusive rights to an appellation of origin;
• Providing counsel on the registration of a series of trademarks for a major heavy industry company;
• Advising a creditor on the foreclosure of digital products to a debtor in bankruptcy.

Prior to joining the Firm, Zalina worked in the litigation department of the federal executive body in charge of intellectual property. Zalina represented Rospatent and the Russian Ministry of Economic Development in court proceedings relating to state registration of intellectual property, as well as challenging statutory instruments related to legal regulation of intellectual property. She also contributed to drafting a number of laws amending Part 4 of the Russian Civil Code.

Zalina graduated with honours from the International Law Faculty of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

She is fluent in English and French.
