Viktor Dumler Presented at the ‘Shareholder Disputes in Arbitration’ Conference in Vilnius

Viktor Dumler, Senior Lawyer at the Saint-Petersburg Office of EPAM participated at the ‘Shareholder Disputes in Arbitration’ international conference in Vilnus on 21 October 2010.

The event was organised jointly by SORAINEN, a Latvian law firm, Vilnius Commercial Arbitrazh Court and the Ministry of Justice of the Lithuanian Republic.

The conference became a platform for leading experts in commercial arbitration from Sweden, France, Russia, Finland, Poland and the Baltic States to share their experience and views on the industry. Practicing corporate lawyers and law firm consultants, representatives of judicial community and government authorities discussed the latest trends in commercial arbitration in the Baltic Region, challenges of resolving shareholder disputes through arbitration and the particulars of conducting simultaneous arbitration processes in several countries. Remigijus Šimašius, Minister of Justice of the Republic of Lithuania, addressed the conference with a welcoming speech.

Viktor Dumler presented on the subject of Arbitrability of Corporate Disputes Related to Russia. During his speech, Viktor discussed the recent trends in reviewing shareholder disputes involving Russian capital and commented on positive changes in the Russian corporate law.

The event was also attended by a number of renowned experts such as Christer Soederlund, Jose Rosell, who specialise in international arbitration.
