Today at Interfax headquarters in Moscow British public company Sibir Energy, its legal adviser in Russia, EPAM Law, and Moscow Oil and Gas Company held a joint press-conference entitled “To potential purchasers of Sibneft: The address by leaders of Sibir Energy PLC and Moscow Oil and Gas Company to their shareholders and the general public, regarding the fraudulent actions of Sibneft: Their legal and other implications for Moscow, Sibir’s shareholders and the investment climate in Russia.”
Speakers at the press conference included Henry Cameron, CEO of Sibir Energy PLC, Evgeny Savostianov, First Vice President of MOGC, and Sibir's legal counsel Dmitry Afanasiev, a partner at EPAM.
The conference was attended by major Russian and British newspapers, including The Financial Times, The Times, RBC-Daily, Vedomosti and Kommersant, as well as representatives of leading international news agencies and analytical funds such as Bloomberg, Reuters and CSFB.
