EPAM Announces Appointments of Counsel in Its Moscow Office

EPAM has announced the promotion of 3 senior associates based in Moscow – Andrey Bastrakov, Dmitry Kaysin and Vyacheslav Yugay – to counsel, effective 1 January  2018.

Andrey Bastrakov (White Collar Crime Practice) has over 10 years of experience focusing on various types of criminal cases. Prior to joining the Firm, Andrey practiced law in a number of law firms, where he specialized in conducting criminal and civil matters and representation of clients before arbitrazh courts. One of his landmark projects is defending the interests of the former chairman of the RusHydro Management Board, Evgeny Dod, who was accused of defrauding the company to the amount of RUB 73m. Andrey graduated from the Law School of Lomonosov Moscow State University. He is a member of the Moscow Bar Association.

Dmitry Kaysin (LL.M., PHD, International Arbitration and Litigation Practice) focuses on resolution of cross-border commercial and insolvency disputes along with concurrent litigation and arbitration proceedings conducted in multiple jurisdictions with involvement of states and their constituencies. Dmitry has experience of arbitrating under UNCITRAL, LCIA, SCC, Swiss Chambers, ICAC (MKAS) and WIPO Arbitration rules. Dmitry graduated from the Moscow State Academy of Law cum laude. Dmitry holds an LL.M. degree from NYU School of Law in International Business Transactions, Litigation & Arbitration, and PhD of the Moscow State Academy of Law. Dmitry is an author of several articles and studies dedicated to enforcement of foreign judgements, exequatur proceedings against foreign sovereigns, and cross-border insolvency issues. He has been admitted to the Bar Association of Moscow Region since 2007.

Vyacheslav Yugai (LL.M., Head of Far East Practice Group) specialises primarily in mergers and acquisitions and financing transactions. His professional portfolio includes the representation of Russian, foreign and international corporations from various industries in connection with a broad range of M&A and financing transactions. He also has experience in restructuring and contentious matters. Vyacheslav graduated in 2007 from the Far Eastern National University with a dual degree in law and finance (with honours). He holds an LL.M. degree from the University of Southern California’s Gould School of Law (2009). In 2016-2017, Vyacheslav was a visiting attorney at Wachtell, Lipton, Rosen & Katz, where he advised on several private and public M&A transactions with combined value of over USD 4bn. He is admitted to practice law in Russia (member of the Moscow Bar Association), England and Wales and the State of New York (USA).One of the leading international rankings, Chambers Europe, recommends Vyacheslav as a corporate and M&A lawyer in Russia. He is fluent in English.
