17th Annual Russian Banking Forum to Take Place in Collaboration with EPAM

17th Annual Russian Banking Forum organized by the Adam Smith Institute started off today in London. St Petersburg Office of EPAM was one of the Forum’s sponsors.

Russian Banking Forum (29 Nov -02 Dec) is a key international event for the Russian banking industry. For 17 years the Forum has been bringing together Russian financial market professionals and global banking leaders, interested in investments into the Russian financial sector. The speakers at the event were top commercial and investment banking executives, representatives of Russian regulatory authorities and international financial institutions, experts of leading law and auditing firms. Over the course of 4 days the attendees had the opportunity to meet with their peers and gather intelligence, organize meetings with potential investors and partners, receive detailed first-hand information from regulatory authorities, define the best investment opportunities in the Russian banking sector.

Vladimir Lobastov, deputy managing partner of EPAM, delivered a speech on “Legal Aspects of Reorganizing Lending Institutions”. Vladimir presented an overview of legal aspects that need to be addressed when making reorganizations in the banking sector and described the ways of government control over this area.
