Pavel Sadovsky to Take Part in the IV Russian Congress “Commercial Law Regulation of Innovation Activities 2011”

On 11-12 October 2011 the IV Russian Congress "Commercial Law Regulation of Innovation Activities 2011" will be held at the Congress Center of the Cosmos Hotel in Moscow. Pavel Sadovsky, Associate at EPAM, will be on the panel for the roundtable discussion ‘Improvement of Laws Governing Protection of Intellectual Property and Support of Innovation in Russia' on 11 October 2011.

The roundtable discussion will focus on:

 

  • guidelines and fundamentals in implementing state policy to support new regulations in innovation Legislation : Law No.254-FZ "On Amendments into the Federal Law ‘On Science and State Science and Technology Policy'" dated July 21, 2011; Law No.248-FZ "On Amendments into Certain Enactments of the Russian Federation in Connection with Realization of Provisions of the Federal Law ‘On Technical regulation'" dated July 19, 2011; Law No.179-FZ "On Ratification of the Agreement on Unified Principles of Regulation in Safeguarding and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights'" dated July 11, 2011;
  • approved methods of providing the state support to innovation;
  • funding innovations, efficient budget spending;
  • state regulation of innovation projects, including the Skolkovo Innovation Center;
  • opportunities in forming the Russian federal contracts system;
  • creating an environment conducive of and motivating for innovations.

  • A.V. Kireyeva - Director of the Legislative Examination Laboratory at the Institute for the Economy in Transition;
