Helen Avakyan Will Speak at a Banking Conference on Digital Assets and the Prospects of a Digital Ruble
On November 25-26, 2021, the Association of Russian Banks together with Lomonosov Moscow State University and Kutafin Moscow State Law University, will hold the seventh banking legal conference “New Challenges and Opportunities: Regulatory and Legal Trends in Banking”. EPAM Counsel Helen Avakyan will speak at the conference.
The conference is traditionally attended by speakers from the Bank of Russia, the State Duma, the Russian Ministry of Finance, the Russian Ministry of Justice, leading law centers and forms, as well as legal scholars.
The attendees of the conference will discuss independent guarantees, the legal risks of corporate and individual lending, the prospects of launching a digital ruble, banks’ engagement in issuance and circulation of digital financial assets, liaising between banks and their debtors, the regulation of AI and personal data treatment, 115-FZ innovations, as well banking activities under international sanctions.
Helen will speek on the topic “Cryptocurrencies and Digital Fiat Currencies: Chinese Lessons” on the first day of the conference at the session “Digital Assets and Digital Ruble: Legal Nature and Launch Prospects” (16:30 to 18:00).
