Helen Avakyan and Oleg Ushakov to Attend 4th Young Lawyers of Russia International Educational Forum

On 2–3 December 2017, Moscow will host the 4th Young Lawyers of Russia International Educational Forum organised by the Young Lawyers of Russia public association and supported by the Russian Civic Chamber. Helen Avakyan, Counsel at EPAM and Executive Director of the non-profit Partnership for the Advancement of Corporate Law, and Oleg Ushakov, Senior Associate in the Firm’s Banking & Finance, Capital Markets Practice, are to attend the event.

The Forum will discuss advocacy efforts and public oversight, professional legal standards and education, and practical legal studies, as well as the shaping of Russia’s future image: the country’s cooperation with other states, and global changes in the law, economics and society.

Helen Avakyan will give a presentation on ‘Where Lawyers Belong in the Digital Economy’.

Oleg Ushakov will act as judge at team debates on the question: ‘Law = Legislation. Or Does It?’

Firm’s Associates have spoken at the Forum every year since it was first held and have been actively involved in providing legal education and mentoring younger lawyers.
