Daria Sergeeva to Lecture on Intellectual Property Rights for Higher School of Economics Students

From October 26, 2020 through April 4, 2021, the Higher School of Economics is to deliver a lecture course “Identifications for Goods and Services” as part of its Master’s Program “Intellectual Property Law in the Digital Age”. The course will be taught by Daria Sergeeva, Senior Associate at EPAM.

Daria’s course will cover the following topics in great detail:

  • Concept, substance, types and use of individualizations as intellectual property items
  • Legal protection of trademarks
  • Means to dispose of the exclusive right to a trademark
  • Discontinuation of the legal protection of a trademark
  • Protection of trademark rights
  • Legal protection of geographical indications and appellations of origin
  • Legal protection of commercial names and trade names
  • Domain names
  • Judicial remedy for rights to individualizations
