Alexey Karchyomov to Serve as an Arbitrator at the International Commercial Arbitration Moot competition
On 28-29 April 2026, Moscow will host the 11th annual International Commercial Arbitration Moot, organised by the Moscow State Law University named after O.E. Kutafin, along with the Maritime Arbitration Commission of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The competition aims to develop students' practical skills in representing parties in arbitration proceedings, interpreting and applying legal norms, forming and arguing legal positions, and preparing procedural documents. In 2026, the competition will for the first time focus on maritime arbitration, covering specialised issues related to cross-border maritime trade and arbitration (or “third-party”) proceedings.
Alexey Karchyomov, Partner and Head of the International Trade, Customs, Maritime, and Transport Law practice at EPAM Law, will serve as an arbitrator on the panel for the preliminary rounds and quarter-finals of the competition.
