EPAM Recognised as an “Elite” Competition Law Firm in Russia

This year, just like the last, EPAM was recognised as an “Elite” Competition Law Firm in Russia by the Global Competition Review 100 rankings (GCR 100) – a guide to the world's leading competition law and corporate practices.

According to GCR, EPAM has “the largest competition team in Russia”  and continues to be involved in significant market deals such as the representation of the Mediterranean Shipping Company, the second-largest maritime container shipping provider, in the FAS investigation into alleged concerted actions in the industry. The firm also successfully defended the interests of the largest Russian IT company Yandex against Google’s market abuse in relation to pre-installed app stores for devices on the Android operating system. EPAM is also assisting Sakhalin Energy in the course of the FAS investigation, and has been advising Murmansk Trawl Fleet, a fishing company, on a variety of litigation.

In other work, the firm continues to represent global metals company Evraz Group and this year began providing the client with training sessions on competition law compliance.

EPAM has the strongest practice of its kind on the Russian market. The Firm is continuously engaged in high profile and significant antitrust cases. EPAM has been remaining for many years the only law firm recommended in the first tier of the leading international and Russian competition law rankings, such as GCR 100, Chambers and Partners, Best Lawyers, Pravo.Ru. Its team members are widely recognised as leading Russian antitrust experts. In addition, in 2015 the firm was nominated for The Lawyer European Awards in the category “Antitrust Case in Europe” for Pfizer support in a complex project related to vaccines’ purchasing.
