On March 28 and April 4, 2014 EPAM and NPP Russian Corporate Counsel Association held a two-day workshop where the Firm’s leading litigation experts addressed the recent trends and the specificities of dispute resolution in various fields, and provided guidelines on how to avoid disputable situations.
EPAM has successfully defended the interests of OJSC Transammiak in a dispute with the largest fertilizers manufacturer OJSC Minudobreniya which initiated multiple compulsions to transport additional volumes of liquid ammonia.
The V Annual Conference entitled "Antitrust Regulation in Russia" was held by NPP for Promotion of Competition and Vedomosti newspaper and supported by the Federal Antimonopoly Service on October 25, 2013 in Moscow and October 28, 2013 in Brussels. The key specialists of the Firm’s Antimonopoly Practice, including the Partner and the Head of the Practice Natalia Korosteleva, Counsel Anna Numerova and Senior Associates Maria Kobanenko and Evgeny Bolshakov spoke at the event. Russia’s FAS (Federal Antimonoly Service) granted its approval on December 25, 2012 to Evraz Plc for an increase of its share in Raspadskaya OJSC. The distributor of diesel engines and spare parts was charged with abuse of its dominant position in the diesel engine market and restriction of competition among dealers by incorporating clauses in its dealership agreements that placed limitations on the sales territory.
