Elena Avakyan Joined ICC Global Commission on Intellectual Property

Elena Avakyan, Counsel at EPAM and Executive Director of Non-Profit Partnership For Advancement of Corporate Law joined the ranks of Russian experts of ICC Global Commission on Intellectual Property. Elena will become a member of the Task Force on Reduction of Formalities in IP Registration Procedures.

The task forces of ICC Commission on Intellectual Property include experts from ICC National Committees from various countries. The task forces monitor the practice, make reports, create uniform rules and guidelines for the global business community.

ICC (International Chamber of Commerce – the World Business Organization) is an influential non-profit international organization established to solve pressing problems in business development, bringing together thousands of enterprises, companies and business associations in 130 countries of the world. ICC’s area of interest includes a very broad range of issues, from banking practice to taxation, from competition law to protection of intellectual property rights, from transport, environment and energy to international investment and trading policies.  In their activities, ICC Commissions comprised of experts from various sectors of economy deal with special areas that are of interest to the international business.
