EPAM holds an event related to Chinese investment in Russia involving Boris Titov

On May 20, 2014, Shanghai hosted a business discussion involving Boris Titov, the Russian Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights, Robin Wittering and Mikhail Kazantsev, Partners at EPAM, as well as Chinese business and legal community representatives. The meeting was organised by EPAM and held during Vladimir Putin’s official visit to China.

During the Q&A session, Russian Presidential Commissioner for Entrepreneurs’ Rights answered the attendees’ questions relating to the current problems and the prospects of development of the Russian-Chinese relationships. Particular emphasis was given to investor and entrepreneur protections in Russia, as well as to the geopolitical impact on   evolution of the bilateral relationship.

Robin Wittering and Mikhail Kazantsev, Partners at EPAM, provided a brief outline of legal structuring deals in Russia, discussed the program for de-offshorisation of the Russian economy, and answered the numerous questions coming from existing and potential investors.

The meeting finished up with snacks and coffee affording and opportunity for the attendees to be able to carry on speaking to each other informally.
