Taras Kyslyy to participate in the UBA Mass Media Committee Meeting
On 17 December, 2014, the meeting of Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) Mass Media Committee “Future changes in legal sphere as a result of signing the Association Agreement between Ukraine and EU” will be held in Kyiv. Taras Kyslyy, Counsel, Head of Intellectual Property and TMT practice at EPAM Ukraine, will participate in the event.
Among main discussion topics:
- implementation of the EU Audiovisual Media Services Directive and the EU Directive on Privacy and Electronic Communications;
- simplification of licensing procedures;
- change from analogue to digital broadcasting;
- existing restrictions in the EU Member States on advertising and sponsorship of certain goods (tobacco, alcohol and pharmaceutical products);
- introducing quotas for advertising;
- the quality of telecommunication services, the list of multifunctional telecommunication services.
