Oleg Boichuk and Sergiy Uvarov spoke at a round table discussion “The Crimea. Consequences of Semi-annual Legal Uncertainty”

On 12 September, 2014, a round table “The Crimea. Consequences of Semi-annual Legal Uncertainty”, organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA) was held in Kyiv.  Oleg Boichuk, Head of Real Estate Practice, and Sergiy Uvarov, Associate of International Arbitration and Cross-Border Litigation Practice of EPAM Ukraine, spoke at the event.

The event participants discussed the following issues:

  • Peculiarities of functioning of Crimean enterprises in the context of corporate law;
  • Peculiarities of registration and other restrictions that affect real estate transactions;
  • Practical aspects of registration of property rights and agreements with real estate in the Crimea;
  • Peculiarities of banking and financial legal relations in the Crimea;
  • Legal proceedings in the Crimea;
  • Legal aspects of intellectual property protection in the Crimea.

Oleg Boichuk acted as a moderator of the second session, dedicated to the issues of real estate in the Crimea. Sergiy Uvarov has delivered his presentation on the topic “Choosing a forum for resolution of disputes with respect to Crimean banking sector. How to minimize risks?” during the session, dedicated to peculiarities of banking and financial legal relations in the Crimea.

Representatives of state authorities, legal counsel and representatives of the UBA Crimean branch participated in the event.
