Мarkiyan Kliuchkovskiy and Kseniia Koriukalova to speak at the 2nd International Arbitration Readings in Memory of Academician Igor Pobirchenko

On 13 November, 2014, at the 2nd International Arbitration Readings in Memory of Academician Igor Pobirchenko, organized by International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) and Maritime Arbitration Commission (MAC) at the Ukrainian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI), will be held in Kyiv. Мarkiyan Kliuchkovskiy, Partner, and Kseniia Koriukalova, Associate of International Arbitration and Cross-Border Litigation Practice of EPAM Ukraine, will speak at the event.

The main topic of the event “Arbitration Agreement: Basic Principles and Current Trends” will embrace the following discussion issues:

  •  Classification of arbitration agreements (multi-tier, optional, alternative);
  • Pathological arbitration agreements;
  • Possibility of succession in respect of the arbitration agreement;
  • Binding power of the arbitration agreement: doctrine and judicial practice;
  • Arbitrability of disputes under the laws of Ukraine (topical issues);
  • Interpretation of arbitration agreements and position of state courts;
  • Peculiarities of arbitration agreement conclusion in ad hoc arbitration.

Мarkiyan Kliuchkovskiy and Kseniia Koriukalova will deliver a report titled “Arbitration Agreement and Succession: Problematic Issues” to the readings’ audience.
