Ivan Smirnov Spoke at Third North-West Big Business Forum ‘Top-250’

On 26 October 2012 the Third North-West Big Business Forum ‘Top-250’ took place in St. Petersburg. Ivan Smirnov, Partner at EPAM, presented a paper at the Forum.

The Forum is an annual event which is held to coincide with the publication by the magazine Expert North-West of annual ratings for top businesses in the North-West Federal District. Management from the companies included in the ratings, representatives of the local business and political elite, and authoritative analysts and consultants from the region were all present at the Forum. Traditionally the Forum program includes a panel discussion, a number of simultaneous round-table discussions, the awards ceremony for the North-West Big Business Ratings winners, and a buffet.

Ivan Smirnov, Partner at EPAM, spoke at one of the round-table discussions, entitled ‘The Doors Are Wide Open: The North-West Regions in the Fight for Investors. Pluses and Minuses of Competition’, presenting a paper dedicated to the legal and regulatory aspects of doing business, in which he discussed how to take these into consideration when building an effective business development strategy.
