Ilya Nikiforov to speak at 7th Annual Legal Forum “Development of Legal Services Market in Ukraine”

Kiev 25 February will host the 7th Annual Legal Forum "Development of Legal Services Market in Ukraine" organized by the Ukrainian Bar Association. Ilya Nikiforov, Managing Partner, EPAM, will speak at the session Management Issues in Legal Business.

The Annual Legal Forum is a dedicated event for partners and CEOs of law firms, directors of legal, management and business development departments. The speakers at the Forum traditionally are the maitres of the legal business from Russia and Ukraine. Experts will share their experience in practical management of a law company, and analyze modern processes in the legal services market and possible innovations in business triggered by new legislative acts. The Forum will focus on the following issues:

  • Politics and Law: is there any room for the law at all?
  • Judicial reform: outcomes for the legal business, comparisons and conclusions;
  • Knowledge management in legal practice;
  • Reputation and professional ethics as competitive advantages in the clients’ eyes;
  • Lawyer as a client’s business manager: a desperate cry or a foresight vision?
  • Law firm partner in the eyes of colleagues, clients and competitors;
  • Organization of business processes in a law firm;
  • Financial management in a law firm: size matters?
  • A glimpse of an administrative director on the law firm and its partners.

Ilya Nikiforov will deliver a speech on Orientation: desired autonomy dedicated to the principles of business processes management in a law firm and methods for developing the leadership skills.
