EPAM Ukraine to Co-Organize the Discussion "Award of the Emergency Arbitrators as Emergency Security Measures"

On 30 May, 2017, the discussion "Award of the Emergency Arbitrators as emergency security measures", organized by the American Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with EPAM Ukraine, will be held in Kyiv.

The Discussion between the counsels and Ukrainian judges would highlight current trends in international emergency arbitrations, their effectiveness, and propose solutions to various pending open questions.

Among discussion topics:

  • counsels as originators of Emergency Arbitrators decisions – opportunities, necessity, foresight and effectiveness;
  • Emergency Arbitrators – reasons to satisfy requests for emergency security measures;
  • Ukrainian courts – Approach of Ukrainian courts to recognition and enforcement of Emergency Arbitrators awards in Ukraine.

Markiyan Kliuchkovskyi, Partner of International Arbitration and Cross-Border Litigation Practice, will moderate the event.

Dmitry Dyakin, Partner, Co-Head of Litigation Practice, will speak on "Counsels as originators of Emergency Arbitrators decisions – opportunities, necessity, foresight and effectiveness".

Oleksandr Volkov, Associate of International Arbitration and Cross-Border Litigation Practice, will "interview" the judges of the Pechersk District Court of Kyiv within the Session "Ukrainian courts – Approach of Ukrainian courts to recognition and enforcement of Emergency Arbitrators awards in Ukraine".
