The speakers of the event, which will be attended by leading experts and world class specialists, include representatives of Russian and US judiciary, arbitrators from international arbitration courts, consultants from major Russian and overseas law firms and in-house lawyers from leading Russian companies. The event will provide a unique platform to establish new ties and develop relations with lawyers from other countries.

The key topics to be discussed are:

• Judicial Assistance and Enforcement Proceedings
• International Asset Recovery
• Business and Corporate Raiding
• Disputes Involving Russian State and State Entities
• Late-Breaking Developments

Ilya Nikiforov, managing partner of EPAM is to chair the session entitled Show Me the Money: Recovering Assets Abroad. An unstable financial and economic climate has resulted in an increasing number of companies, particularly in Eastern Europe, disobeying the court judgments on property claims, or concealing their assets from creditors. The panel members will discuss ways of overcoming legal barriers when recovering the overseas assets, for example, in offshore jurisdictions. During the sessions Russian and international experts will make immediate and efficient recommendations on detecting and prosecuting ultimate beneficiaries of trusts and other offshore funds, and on preventing the use of other tools in this area.
