Inna Elisanova has 15 years experience and is an expert in customs regulation and international trade.
Inna specialises in customs law, foreign trade and logistics. She represents clients in courts disputes and in administrative proceedings related to foreign trade.
Inna's key areas of expertise include:
- companies' foreign trade compliance with customs regulations (customs compliance, health check, customs monitoring, customs audit);
- compliance with customs regulations (rules to determine customs value, IP protection procedures, obtaining permits, definition of country of origin, etc.);
- application of customs legislation of the Eurasian Economic Union;
- application of preferential customs procedures (e.g. temporary import, re-export, free customs zone (SEZ), etc.);
- structuring of supply chains and import patterns and their further implementation;
- application of tariff preferences and exemptions from customs duties, etc.
Inna actively participates in different business associations, working groups and expert commissions under the Federal Сustoms Service of Russia and Eurasian Economic Commission. She is the Head of the Customs, Transport and Logistics Committee of the Russian-German Chamber of Commerce (AHK).
Inna has been actively participating in Customs Law amendments initiative, preparing comments to the Customs Code of the Eurasian Economic Union, as well as in preparing comments to other regulative legal acts on customs issues. She is the author of a number of publications and articles in Russian and foreign publications on customs clearance of goods.
Prior to EPAM, Inna has worked in a large audit and consulting company, major international law firms and the Russian customs authorities.
Inna graduated with honours from the Russian Customs Academy with a degree in Business Administration in Customs (2007) and Civil Law (2008). She has taken professional training courses development courses in "Fundamentals of accounting" and "Currency and cash operations", as well as the IBM course "Operational logistician" (Supervisory/Operational level (ElogSO)) at the Higher School of Economics.
Inna is a member of the Moscow Bar Association.
She is fluent in English, Russian and Chinese.
