Olga Belova is an expert in Russian competition law with over 15 years of experience in providing legal support and project management for leading Russian and foreign companies. She has successfully handled dozens of antitrust cases, a number of which have become precedent-setting. Olga's area of expertise also includes advising on compliance with the EEU general competition rules and defending the interests of clients before the EEC and the EEU Court.

Prior to joining the Firm, she led the antitrust practice of a major private energy company, where she coordinated the work of a team of lawyers in 16 regions of the company’s presence. With her unique expertise in the field of antitrust regulation in the energy sector, Olga has worked on a number of industry landmark cases involving price manipulation in the energy market.

Previously, Olga also worked at major foreign and Russian law firms.

Her notable projects include:

• Defending the interests of one of the largest energy companies of the Second Price Zone of the Wholesale Electricity and Capacity Market in a price manipulation case before the FAS Russia. The case was proven to be economically justified and was dismissed for absence of violation.
• Defending the interests of one of the largest energy companies of the First Price Zone before the FAS Russia and the courts in a case on price manipulation on the Wholesale Electricity and Capacity Market. The case was won in three instances as the courts confirmed the illegality of the decision of the FAS Russia. As a result, the company's fine of RUB 1bn was canceled.
• Advising the world's largest electronic equipment manufacturer on the application of legislation on mandatory pre-installation of Russian software and prevention of antimonopoly risks on digital markets.
• Defending the interests of a Russian startup in a collective dominance antimonopoly case against a number of major online recruitment sites. The case applied a new standard of proof of collective dominance on digital markets, as well as facts of abuse in the actions of only one of the collectively dominant entities.   
• Defending the interests of a pharmaceutical company before the EEC and the EAEU court in a case of an anticompetitive agreement on a cross-border market by disproving the existence of such an agreement. The case was resolved in the client's interests. 
• Defending the interests of a large pharmaceutical company before antimonopoly authorities and courts in a series of cases related to infringement of the company's patent rights by its competitors and dealing with unfair competition. The cases were won in all instances.

Olga graduated from the International Law Department of the Russian Foreign Trade Academy, has a diploma from King's College (UK) in EU competition law, and an advanced training certificate from the International Law Institute (USA). She is a member of the Association of Antitrust experts.

Olga is a member of the Moscow Bar Association.
