Firm Supports Knauf in Signing of RUB 3.5bn Investment Agreement With Leningrad Regional Government at SPIEF

On 2 June, on the sidelines of the 21st St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between the Government of Leningrad Region and joint stock company Knauf Petrobord, a member of the Knauf Group. The agreement includes an investment by Knauf of at least RUB 3.5 billion to renovate production facilities for cardboard facing over the period to 2020, and provision of investor support by the Government of Leningrad Region.

Dmitry Stepanov Successfully Defends Client in Russian Constitutional Court

The Constitutional Court of the Russian Federation today announced its ruling on a challenge to the constitutionality of article 302, paragraph 1 of the Civil Code of the Russian Federation lodged by Alexander Dubovets, in which it accepted the plaintiff’s argument. Representing Mr Dubovets was Dmitry Stepanov, Partner at EPAM.

The Arbitration Center at the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs is an arbitration institution administering arbitration proceedings for domestic and international disputes. The Presidium of RUIE Arbitration Center consists of eight leading Russian lawyers, each with many years of practical experience in dispute resolution and an impeccable business reputation. Dmitry Dyakin, Partner, Co-Head of the Litigation and Arbitration Practice at EPAM, is appointed a Deputy Chairman of the Presidium.

EPAM Represent Danone Russia in a Joint Project With Soyuzmultfilm

Danone Russia and Soyuzmultfilm have signed an agreement to produce a series of sequels to the popular animated short film Three from Prostokvashino. The terms of cooperation provide that shooting is to start in 2017. Danone Russia will act as the project originator and will use the project to promote Russia’s largest dairy brand, Prostokvashino, on an ongoing basis.

Lawyers From EPAM Defend Interests of Yandex

On 17 April 2017 Arbitrazh Court of Moscow district approved a settlement agreement between the Federal Antimonopoly Service and the Google and Yandex corporations, thereby bringing to an end a dispute which had run for more than two years. With the settlement agreement the parties succeeded in finding an acceptable arrangement for managing the consequences of violations of antimonopoly law previously identified by the FAS, and ensuring competition on mobile app market – for mobile search apps in particular.
