On December 7-8 2005 the delegation of EPAMparticipated in the conference on the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods: 25 Years of Implementation Practices, Results and Perspectives

Lawyers of EPAM Saint-Petersburg's law office took part in the international scientific conference The UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods: 25 Years of Implementation Practices, Results and Perspectives, that was held in the Congress-Centre of the Russian Federal Chamber of Commerce on December 7-8, 2005.

The EPAM Law delegation included: Ilya Nikiforov; managing partner of the Firm’s Saint-Petersburg office; Maria Miroshnikova, senior lawyer of EPAM; and Olga Kudryavtseva and Sergey Golubok, legal assistants of EPAM.

The conference was attended by the Chairman of the International Commercial Arbitration Court (ICAC) A. Komarov, arbiters of ICAC S.Lebedev, V.Musin, A.Makovsky, M.Rosenberg, I.Zykin, A.Kostin and others, representatives of law firms, such as Baker&McKenzie; DLA Piper; Pepelyaev, Golstblat and Partners; Nomos.

The participants of the conference discussed various issues of implementation of the UN Vienna Convention of 1980 on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods, in particular, its implementation in cases of exemption of responsibility; implementation of means of protection of trader and buyer; subsidiary implementation of national law; and new edition of the Order of the International Commercial Arbitration Court of the Trade and Industry Chamber of the Russian Federation.
