The II annual conference “Mergers And Takeovers In The Northwestern Region” was held on April 18, 2007 in Saint-Petersburg. The event was organized by the “Mergers and Takeovers” magazine and the Government of Saint-Petersburg. Ilya Nikiforov, a managing partner in Saint-Petersburg office of EPAM, shared expertise in judicial protection from hostile takeovers.

The annual conference “Mergers And Takeovers In The Northwestern Region” is one of the year’s most important events in the Northwestern Region’s M&A scene and a conventional venue for M&A professionals.

The conference was comprised of three main sessions dedicated to regional government policy on corporate takeovers, current M&A practices, and protecting businesses from sophisticated raid techniques.

Over a hundred delegates attended the event, including northwestern business leaders, consulting and law firms, regional officials, and the media.
