EPAM advises on Russia's top electronic retail chain sale

EPAM represented the owners of Beringov, a consumer electronics retail chain, in its deal to sell their business to Eldorado, one of the largest Russian retailers.

As a result of the deal Eldorado acquired Beringov Proliv Delta LLC and Verdena LLC, visibly gaining ground in the consumer electronics market in Central Russia.

The legal advisor’s role was to provide full legal support of the transaction, including pre-sale tax structuring.

The client was represented by EPA&P Moscow team under the lead of Arkady Krasnikhin, Partner of M&A and Corporate Practice, Roman Malovitsky, Senior Associate of M&A and Corporate Practice, and Igor Schikow, Head of Tax Practice.

Beringov is a large retail chain specialising in consumer electronics. Established in the early 1990s, the chain has 28 stores in 27 cities of Central Russia.

Eldorado, Russia’s largest consumer electronics chain, is a top-5 consumer electronics retailer in Europe and top-10 in the world.
