EPAM’ Helen Avakyan to Address the Eastern Economic Forum

On September 11-13, 2018, the city of Vladivostok will host the Eastern Economic Forum supported by the Russian Government. Helen Avakyan, Counsel at EPAM and Executive Director at the Non-Profit Partnership for Advancement of Corporate Law, will attend the event.

The forum’s key goals are to strengthen the ties of the international investment community, to provide an expert assessment on the economic potential of the Russian Far East, to improve the region’s competitiveness and investment appeal on the domestic and international levels, and to explain new laws concerning investment and business dealings in Russia.

Helen Avakyan is to speak at the session entitled “The Far East: A Financial and Offshore Centre”. The attendees are to discuss the conditions required to attract foreign credit institutions to Russia, the steps that need to be taken to launch and develop a cryptocurrency exchange, as well as the SAR regime competitiveness for capital protection.

Helen is also to speak at the session “Competitiveness and the National Jurisdiction: A Space of Freedom for Business”. The main topic of discussion will be the creation of a legal system in Russia that would make Russian jurisdiction more attractive for domestic and foreign businesses.

This marks the fourth consecutive year that Firm representatives have attended the Eastern Economic Forum and given reports on topical issues.
