For more than 10 years, Stanislav Dobshevich has been representing large enterprises in a wide range of commercial disputes specialising in corporate conflicts, including international cases.

Stanislav has extensive experience in representing clients before arbitrazh courts at all levels - including the Russian Supreme Court - and in international commercial arbitration (including ICC, SCC, LCIA and the ICAC at the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry). Stanislav also advises on cross-border matters.

Stanislav’s recent highlights include:

  • Providing legal support to IKEA in a number of major land disputes meant to reclaim the company’s land plots. The dispute ended with the Russian Supreme Court ruling in the client’s favor.
  • Successfully defending the major shareholder of the largest Russian vertically integrated mining group in a series of corporate disputes totaling over RUB 10 bn.
  • Defending a client’s interests in a dispute arising out of a service agreement in the oil and gas sector under the SCC Arbitration Rules.
  • Representing the top managers of a bank in bankruptcy proceedings and related subsidiary liability worth approximately RUB 7 bn.
  • Successfully representing a subsidiary of a large international real estate advisory company in a series of litigations arising from a construction contract for a Class A office complex.
  • Representing a client in international commercial arbitration in a dispute arising out of an equipment supply contract governed by Swiss law under the ICC Arbitration Rules. The dispute notably included the application of the United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (the Vienna Convention of 1980).
  • Coordinating the actions of foreign lawyers and developing a strategy for a cross-border litigation project, including the recognition and enforcement of the London Court of International Arbitration (LCIA) decision in various jurisdictions, as well as actions to protect the assets of the principal.

Prior to joining the Firm, Stanislav led the practice of commercial disputes at Rustam Kurmaev & Partners, and worked as a senior associate at Goltsblat BLP.

Stanislav received his Master’s degree in Law with honors from Kutafin Moscow State Law University (MSLU), having graduated from the Novosibirsk State University (NSU). In 2022 Stanislav completed his NYU LL.M degree in international dispute resolution. He was also the recipient of the prestigious Dean’s Graduate Award from NYU School of Law.

He has been admitted to the Moscow Bar.
