On 8 February 2023, the Association of European Businesses (AEB) announced the election of Ilona Zekely, Partner, Head of European Desk at EPAM, to the AEB board.
The AEB Management Board consists of 9 members and includes representatives from different major companies in Russia. The Board develops and implements the Association's strategy and policy and supervises the activities of AEB Committees and Working Groups.
Ilona focuses on advising international companies in their activities across the CIS as well as CIS-based blue chips in their activities in Europe. She practices in the areas of corporate and M&A, banking & finance, commercial, energy, oil & gas and real estate law. Among her clients are international banks and financial institutions, insurance companies, energy, high-tech and other multinational clients.
The Association of European Businesses is the main representative body of foreign investors in Russia. Founded in 1995, the AEB is an independent non-profit organisation of over 500 European and Russian companies. The AEB members are multinational corporations and small and medium-sized enterprises. They all share a commitment to boosting cooperation between the EU and Russia, as well as the desire to improve the investment climate of the Russian Federation.
