Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners receives regulatory approval for an international acquisition of Dole Food Company, Inc.

The competition teams of Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners Moscow and Kiev Offices have acted as legal advisers for David Murdoch, the head of the Company who already held about 40% of the Company’s shares on the acquisition of approximately 60% of the remaining shares of Dole Food Company, Inc., the largest producer of fruits and vegetables in the world.

The total amount of the transaction is estimated at $1.6 billion. As a result of it 100% of Dole Food Company, Inc. shares now belong to DFC Holdings controlled by David Murdoch. The transaction was closed in November 2013.

The Moscow and Kiev Offices’ associates, including Elena Kazak, Ksenia Firsova, Kristina Kokina, Oksana Franko and Nadezhda Dmitrenko supervised by Natalia Korosteleva, Partner and the Head of the Antimonopoly Practice at the Moscow Office, and Oksana Ilchenko, Partner and the Head of M&A and Corporate Law Practice, as well as of the Antimonopoly Practice at the Kiev Office, represented the client’s interests.
