CIS LCN participated in the American Bar Association International Law Section – Fall Meeting 2010 in Paris

On November 2 – 6, 2010, CIS Leading Counsel Network (LCN) took part in the American Bar Association International Law Section – Fall Meeting 2010 as an official partner. LCN members shared their views on legal aspects of conducting business in the CIS.

On November 2, CIS LCN held a plenary session on ‘Conducting Business in the CIS: Regional Aspects, Global Outlook’. Managing partners of the leading CIS national law firms presented their unique vision of the legal aspects of conducting business in the region that continues to attract international investors. The discussion was focused on general business environment, changes in law and taxation with particular attention to M&A and foreign investment, as well as recommendations on how to avoid risks when investing in Russia and CIS. The session was very well received by the participants as one of the most memorable events of the forum.

On November 3, LCN members presented to representatives of European companies at a workshop organized by Bredin Prat law firm.

The participants of the event received a publication co-authored by LCN members entitled ‘Comparative Review of Anticorruption Law in the CIS Economic Region’.
