World Trademark Review 1000 Recommends EPAM for IP Work in Russia and Ukraine

EPAM enters the silver band in the World Trademark Review (WTR) 1000 -  The World’s Leading Trademark Professionals for Russia and Ukraine. Pavel Sadovsky and Taras Kyslyy, the IP practice heads in both jurisdictions, are ranked in the silver band. WTR 1000 indicates that the team has “outstanding cross-border capabilities which leverage the expertise of desks in Moscow, St Petersburg, Kiev and Belarus set EPAM apart from the pack”.

According to a source in Russia, EPAM gets the silver tier thanks to its “exciting work highlights and substantial growth in market share”. WTR 1000 recognises the practice for safeguarding the rights of Formula One as it organised its first race in Russia and says that “it recently brokered a favourable settlement for Orange in a key trademark opposition”. Pavel Sadovsky, Head of Intellectual Property /TMT Practice in Russia, is described as “a discerning litigator and a persuasive presence at the negotiating table”.

According to the review in Ukraine, “EPAM maintains a significant presence across the Commonwealth of Independent States, as well as strategically located liaison offices in London and Washington DC.” Practice Head Taras Kyslyy, recognized as a leading practitioner who “builds on the tradition of the firm to provide indomitable anti-counterfeiting support.”
