EPAM has once again been top ranked by Chambers Global 2013. This time the Firm has been recommended for all key practice areas across in jurisdictions of its presence including Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, the UK, the USA. The firm’s experts have been separately recommended for their German and Austrian law capacities.
In Russia, Chambers Global traditionally acknowledges EPA&P’s Dispute Resolution experts as the best ones in Russia. This year the Firm’s Dispute Resolution Practice retains its top position in Band 1.
Individual recommendations were traditionally given to the member of the Partners' Committee Dmitry Afanasiev as “one of the most high-profile Russian lawyers on the market, and is an important figure in the practice”. Mr. Afanasiev “is highly regarded for his management and rainmaking skills”, he is also well known with regard to the litigation cases the firm is advising on.

Undoubtedly the best known contentious lawyer at the firm, he wins praise from all corners of the market for his highly detailed and business-oriented advice ".
According to the guide, EPA&P is also recommended for M&A and Corporate, Intellectual Property, Restructuring & Insolvency as well as for Energy & Natural Resources. In M&A and Corporate Chambers Global recommends Dmitry Afanasiev and London-based Partner Allen Thomas who “heads the firm's London office and provides an important outlet for English law questions”.
As a leading IP expert the Guide marks Pavel Sadovsky who heads the firm’s IP/TMT Practice. Pavel “is admired for his marked versatility. His practice extends from transactional matters to litigation and advisory work”. For Restructuring & Insolvency Chambers Global refers to Partner Arkady Krasnikhin, head of M&A and Corporate Practice. Partners Mikhail Kazantsev and Sergey Kovalev are mentioned as “key members of the team and the main points of contact for restructuring work”.

Particularly, he is acknowledged by the guide as a specialist who “often advises on sports arbitration cases”.
In Belarus, the Firm is ranked in the honorable Band 1. According to the guide “the reputation of managing partner Dennis Turovets continues to increase in Belarus”, he is appreciated “for his knowledge of capital markets, and recently advised global investment banks” and “the development of local securities laws”.
