EPAM, the largest law firm in Russia and the CIS, triumphed yesterday at The Lawyer European Awards 2014, taking home three awards, including the top prize of the night: European Law Firm of the year. This is the first time the national giant has been recognized as the leader in the European market, and the first time a Russian firm won the title of European Law Firm of the year.
The Firm further solidified its leading position with Russian Law Firm of the Year and European Corporate Team of the Year awards.
Praised by the judges as “a clear standout in its crowded market” the Firm was also shortlisted in the Law Firm of the Year: Ukraine and the CIS and European Managing Partner of the Year categories.
“Within the last few years the Firm has significantly extended its presence and overall strength to become the largest law firm in Russia and the CIS. 2013 was also the year that marked our 20th anniversary. We are proud to be named a champion not only on the local market but also in Europe. The Lawyer European Awards in an event established by The Lawyer, a leading UK legal publication, to select the best law firms in Europe on the basis of service quality, efficiency and strategic planning, innovative approach, and performance. Every year the largest national and international law firms contend for the title of European Law Firm of The Year, amongst others. The ultimate winner is selected from one of the firms that won their country's Best Firm category. The winners 2014 were announced yesterday, on February 20, at the Marriott Grosvenor Square in London.
