The International Financial Law Review has released it’s annual IFLR1000 law firm rankings. This year EPAM has improved its position regarding the number of recommendations in finance-related areas of law, as well as the number of lawyers recommended in the CIS.

In Russia, the Firm has been recommended in eight out of nine areas of law, including capital markets, banking, restructuring and insolvency, project finance, energy and M&A, as well as PPP. According to IFLR1000, member of the Partners' Committee Dimitry Afanasiev  has long been a renowned expert in antitrust law, restructuring and insolvency, as well as M&A. Partner Dmitry Glazounov has also been recognized as a market leader in banking law and capital markets.

Partner and Head of M&A and corporate Practice of the Firm Arkady Krasnikhin has been recommended for M&A. Elena Agaeva, Counsel and Head of M&A and Corporate Law of the Firm’s St Petersburg Office, has been recognised as a “notable practitioner” in the same area. Roman Malovitsky, Moscow Office Banking & Finance and Capital Markets Counsel, is considered to be among the “rising stars” in banking. Olga Mischenko, Counsel and Head of Real Estate, Construction and PPP Practice in the St Petersburg office, has been recommended as a highly regarded lawyer in project finance and PPP.

In Ukraine, Managing Partner of EPAM Ukraine Oksana Ilchenko has been ranked as a highly regarded lawyer for competition, restructuring and insolvency, banking, private equity and M&A; the Rankings noted that the clients of the Firm recommended this office for M&A.

In Belarus, the Firm maintains its high positions in Tier 1 for all areas of law researched: finance and corporate, as well as project finance. Managing Partner Denis Turovets has been ranked as a Market Leading Lawyer in capital markets, energy and infrastructure, banking and project finance. Partner Anna Rusetskaya has also been noted as a highly regarded lawyer for capital markets, banking and M&A. Senior associates Irina Butko, Alexander Buzo and Igor Yatskovsky have been ranked as “rising stars” of the Minsk office.
