Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners Shortlisted by the Lawyer European Awards

The Lawyer has published its shortlist for The Lawyer European Awards. The Firm has been nominated for three awards: Law Firm of the Year: Russia, Ukraine & the CIS, European Competition or Antitrust Deal of the Year and European Litigation Team of the Year.

The Lawyer chooses the best law firms in a number of practice areas, based on theirs jurisdictions and the matters handled by those law firms, as well as on their managerial and innovative achievements. The winners will be announced at a gala ceremony in London on March 19, 2019. 

The Lawyer European Awards expert board has lauded the Firm’s efforts on facilitating the first Russian merger of taxi aggregators Yandex.Taxi and Uber with the approval of the FAS (Federal Antimonopoly Service). In this merger, the Firm’s experts successfully obtained FAS approval for the merger through utilizing new methods of quantifying relevant market shares.  Additionally, The Lawyer noted the Firm’s successful defense of Novartis and a number of other international pharmaceutical leaders in response to the unfair practices put in place by Russian drug manufacturers.

In choosing to shortlist Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners, the board has also taken into account the Firm’s successful development strategy, its brilliant work on significant deals and precedent-setting disputes, the scope of its activities and finally the overall professionalism of its lawyers.

The Lawyer European Awards was established by The Lawyer and is a most prestigious award in the international legal community.
