Sergiy Grebenyuk is a Partner with Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners Ukraine. He is a Head of Criminal Law Practice in Ukraine and specializes in criminal law and dispute resolution. Sergiy represents clients facing criminal cases, court procedures and other issues. He has extensive experience in legal security for businesses, internal corporate investigations of possible violations, corruption and compliance.
Sergiy Grebenyuk has practiced legal advocacy for more than ten years, specializing in civil, commercial and criminal matters. He also provided consultation in developing electoral legislation. In 2006, he joined the dispute resolution practice of Egorov Puginsky Afanasiev & Partners Ukraine.
He has also worked in law enforcement agencies and at the Central Election Commission of Ukraine, where he grew from chief consultant to the head of the department representing the commission in courts and enforcing election and referendum laws. He attained the sixth rank of civil servant.
Sergiy is the author of numerous analytical publications on the criminal procedure code and provision of legal security for businesses and is a frequent speaker on forums, conferences and seminars. He also actively participates in public legal work. In 2012, he was elected as a deputy head of the Committee of Criminal and Criminal Procedural Law of the Ukrainian Bar Association (UBA). Since June 2013 Sergiy leads the UBA Kyiv branch.
Mr. Grebenyuk is named among notable practitioners in criminal law/business crime according to "Ukrainian Law Firms 2014-2015. A Handbook for Foreign Clients" compilation by Yuridicheskaya Practika publishing house. He is also recognized as leading practitioner by the newly released 2015 edition of “Client Choice: The Top 100 Best Lawyers of Ukraine”.
Sergiy is a member of the Consultative Council of Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine.
Sergiy Grebenyuk graduated with honors from Yaroslav the Wise National Law Academy of Ukraine in 2002.
