Markiyan Kliuchkovskyi to participate in the 5th Conference CAS & FSA/SAV

On September 5-6, 2014, The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) and the Swiss Bar Association (FSA/SAV) will hold the 5th Conference CAS & FSA/SAV in Lausanne, Switzerland. Markiyan Kliuchkovskyi, Head of Sports Law Practice at EPAM Ukraine, will participate in the event.

Speakers will deal with issues of very practical importance for parties and their counsel. The conference session will draw up an inventory of sports-related arbitration at the CAS: what happened in the last thirty years and what are the challenges that the institution is facing? Various players in the fight against doping will present and discuss the most important changes that the new WADA Code 2015 is introducing, and the issues that may arise from those changes. A review of recent developments in the jurisprudence of the CAS as well as that of the Federal Tribunal will complete the program. The second day will be devoted to topics related to international football, including the extensive jurisprudence of the CAS on the subject.

The intended audience is the CAS arbitrators, counsel and lawyers who operate in the areas of arbitration and sports law, representatives of associations or federations, and in-house counsel to companies in the “sport business” and whose contracts or bylaws provide for the resolution of any disputes by arbitration before the CAS.
