Ilya Nikiforov to Address Seminar on ‘Arbitration in Russia: Tradition and Innovation in Commercial Dispute Resolution’
On 7 June 2016, the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs (RSPP) and the Russian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC Russia), with support from EPAM, will hold the inaugural seminar on ‘Arbitration in Russia: tradition and innovation in commercial dispute resolution’. Ilya Nikiforov, Managing Partner at EPAM, will give a presentation on ‘Recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards’.
Representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the ICC International Court of Arbitration and the ICC Arbitration Commission, the RSPP Arbitration Court, and practising lawyers will shed light on the post-reform arbitration system and the new opportunities for businesses with regard to the resolution of domestic and international commercial disputes, as well as on specific aspects of arbitration clauses and the use of evidence in light of the new legislation. They will also look in detail at the recognition and enforcement of arbitral awards.
